Our Plan:
1. Provide Meaningful MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES that
EMPOWER Ministries to be More Effective.
a. Staff regularly meets with ministries to encourage, consult, network and to identify both strengths and needs.
b. BODY OF CHRIST CARES connects needs with volunteers and resources; Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rich Van Til (708) 363-2568, for a list of volunteer opportunities.
c. Example:
Roseland Christian Ministries Homeless Shelter- On Tuesday evenings we send a volunteer team with resources, (Bible lesson/craft, snacks, etc.) to the shelter to minister to 25 - 80 children and their mothers. We have a fun time sharing a Bible lesson, doing crafts, and sharing snacks.

The end result:
1) The Homeless are blessed, instructed, and encouraged.
2) The Volunteers experience meaningful ministry.
3) We empower a wonderful ministry to expand its outreach & offer a new program.

A great move of God...is sweeping across America & the world. Christians are tired of playing church - untold thousands are seeking a vibrant faith that makes an impact on their life and the lives of others. Christians want their lives to count and want to personally be involved in helping others in practical ways. All across the world is overwhelming ministry need, especially during this time of economic crisis. There is also an astounding number of Christians that want to use their gifts, time, & talents for the kingdom. However since the Body of Christ is so divided and isolated there is a multitude of potential volunteers that don't know what to do or where to go. The BODY OF CHRIST CARES is steping in to connect these two groups... |

Why the emphasis on "The Kingdom", "The Body of Christ" and Empowerment...BODY OF CHRIST CARES stongly supports the local church. It is the institution God set up to change the world. We also think one should first consider the needs of their church while considering volunteer opportunities. We also belive that the needs of this lost world are too great for any one church and that there is a profound need for collaberation among Christians... |
